SAVY HOTEL *** IS THE STORY OF AN ADVENTURE
Moored on the banks of the Meuse, the Savy Hotel *** is the first barge-hotel on the water in Verdun and the region.
A destination of choice for an unusual experience.
The Savy Hotel *** has 8 rooms, a homemade breakfast buffet as well as a selection of wines and various tastings.
The points of view are unique, on the Japiot Park, the play of lights and the reflections of the water evolve according to the day.
Located at the foot of the Tour Chaussée, in the heart of the city center, a few steps from many monuments, restaurants, bars and shops, our hotel invites you to relax.
The heart of town is lively with several bars and restaurants that stay open until late at night.
Stroll along the quays of the Meuse on the towpaths, you will have the possibility of renting electric bikes at the Tourist Office located a few steps away.
You will find a public car park just in front. You can easily reach the historic sites, Verdun Memorial, Douaumont Ossuary, Underground Citadel, Battlefields, World Center for Peace, which are nearby.
The Savy is a Fressinet barge built in 1958 in Tuin, Belgium at the Michaut shipyard.
It is 39.50m long and 5.05m wide.
The barge was carrying strip.
We acquired it in 2018 from a family of Belgian sailors.
And here the adventure begins!
2 years of work were necessary to rehabilitate the barge into a hotel.
