Capture formats
The basic vocabulary, describing what is actually produced on site:
- 360° panorama: an image covering the entire field of view from a given point; the visitor looks around freely.
- Virtual tour: a sequence of panoramas linked by movement points, allowing travel from one space to another.
- HDR (High Dynamic Range): a technique combining several exposures of the same scene to keep detail in dark areas and windows.
- 360° video: a video in which the viewer chooses their viewing direction during playback.
- Travelling shot: a continuous camera movement, on the ground or with an indoor drone, giving a cinematic feel.
Interactive elements
What turns an image into an experience:
- Hotspot: a clickable point placed in the panorama — it opens text, a photo, a video, a link or a form.
- Movement point: a particular hotspot that takes the visitor from one panorama to the next.
- Interactive map: a clickable floor plan, useful for orientation in large spaces.
- Guided path: a recommended sequence of panoramas, to steer visitors towards the essentials.
- CTA (call to action): an action button embedded in the tour — book, request a quote, call, contact.

Publication and distribution
The terms describing what happens to your tour once produced:
- Web 360: the core package — your tour hosted, reachable through a single link and embeddable in your site.
- Web 360+: the enriched version — menus, embedded content, sheets, interactive maps and action buttons, in your brand identity.
- Embed: the code to paste into a page to display the tour inside your website.
- Google Street View: publishing 360° views on Google Maps and the Google Business Profile.
- QR code: a scannable code opening the tour from a physical medium (window, brochure, sign).
Production
Finally, a few words that come up before and after the shoot:
- Scouting: analysing the site before capture (access, light, constraints, areas to show).
- Stitching: merging the shots into a continuous 360° panorama.
- Post-production: selection, retouching, editing, stabilisation and grading of the content.
- Grading: harmonising colours and contrast across all images in a project.
- Remote pilot: the professional pilot performing drone shots within the applicable regulatory framework.
