Heritage: a particular attachment to the memory of places.
From the very beginning, HD Media has held a particular attachment to French heritage, to remarkable buildings and to places steeped in history. Capturing these spaces in 360° is not merely a technical exercise: it is a way to showcase, document and digitally preserve places that belong to our collective memory.

Keeping a faithful record of places that shape our history.
Over the years we have built a particularly rich 360° image bank in this field, probably one of the largest to come out of our activity: châteaux, museums, monuments, cultural sites, memorial places, public buildings and historic edifices — every capture helps keep a faithful record of the architecture, the atmosphere and the details of a place. This work has also led us to collaborate with the DRAC on projects for the promotion and digital preservation of heritage, and it reinforces our conviction: virtual tours and 360° photography play an important role in passing places on, making them accessible and safeguarding them as documents.
An approach built for transmission.
Monuments and historic sites
Highlight the architecture, remarkable halls, heritage details and visitor spaces.
Châteaux, estates and museums
State rooms, collections, visitor routes and grounds: a complete discovery, from the park to the most intimate rooms.
Memorial places and public buildings
Religious buildings, memorials, town halls, prefectures or institutions: places documented with the rigour their historical value demands.
Digital heritage preservation
The 360° virtual tour digitally archives the state of a monument or site: a faithful, lasting record, before time, accidents, fire, alterations or natural decay sometimes change it.
A church opened through a QR code
Even behind closed doors, a simple QR code opens the site’s virtual tour. Heritage that can be explored remotely is less exposed to vandalism and answers the frustration of visitors who find the doors shut.
A lever for fundraising appeals
An immersive virtual tour reveals the scope of a restoration project and the true state of the site: a concrete tool to rally donors and patrons during your fundraising campaigns.

A complementary solution for heritage accessibility.
Some monuments, historic buildings or heritage sites cannot always be made fully accessible without harming their architecture, their conservation or their historical integrity. In those situations, the 360° virtual tour becomes a valuable tool: it does not replace statutory accessibility obligations, but it complements existing measures by letting the public discover, remotely, spaces that are difficult, partially accessible or impossible to adapt — a concrete way to reconcile heritage promotion, public information, inclusion and respect for architectural constraints.
What the Défenseur des droits says
Guide to the accessibility of local-authority public buildings, p. 72, “Digitisation and 3D tours”: “Mainly used in the cultural or tourism field, these measures make it possible to view works located on an inaccessible floor, or that benefit from being seen closer or more easily […]. They also make it possible to visit places that are inaccessible or hard to reach.”
A complement, not a substitute
A virtual tour does not replace statutory accessibility obligations: it provides additional information, a mediation tool and a support solution to make certain places easier for everyone to discover.
Spaces that cannot be adapted
A spiral staircase, a crypt, an attic, a rampart walk or a floor with no lift: where no adaptation is possible without altering the fabric of the building, the virtual tour makes the space visible and understandable.
Mediation for every audience
School groups, audiences far away, residents of care facilities or people unable to travel: the site can be discovered remotely, and the tour also helps prepare an on-site visit.
Showcase, document and preserve.
Through 360° photography and virtual tours, we help make these places more accessible, more visible and more lastingly transmissible.
A documentary safeguard
A faithful, dated and consultable record: architecture, atmosphere and details remain legible even if the place changes, is transformed or decays.
Wider visibility
The place can be discovered from the venue’s website, a Google listing, an on-site QR code or a mediation medium, well beyond opening hours.
