A 360° image library

A landscape cannot be told. It has to be seen.

A framed photograph chooses for you what to look at; a 360° panorama lets you turn your head. That is the whole difference when the subject is a volcanic cirque, a dune or a valley: what matters is not one viewpoint but the entire horizon. Since 2007 our photographers have been building a 360° library of natural sites, in France and abroad, to the same standard as a hotel or a museum: HDR, high definition and careful stitching.

Who puts a landscape online?

Tourist offices, natural and regional parks, mountain and seaside resorts, local authorities, accommodation set in the wild, climbing or hiking sites, outdoor activity operators: all have a setting to show before people come. A virtual tour gives them an argument a conventional photo cannot replace — and content visitors share of their own accord.

Do you photograph natural sites outside France?
Yes. Our photographers have captured landscapes in France and around the world — the cirques of Réunion among them. The national network covers every département; outside France, each assignment is scoped project by project.
A landscape changes with the season and the light. How do you handle that?
Scouting decides: we agree the shooting window from the path of the sun and the season that serves the place best. HDR does the rest on site, holding a bright sky and shadowed areas together. A capture can also be repeated in another season and added to the same tour.
Is a drone necessary for a landscape?
Not always, but it changes how a territory reads: it gives the scale and the relations between places, which no ground-level shot shows. We often combine both — a ground panorama for the walker’s experience, an aerial view for the overall picture.
Can these panoramas be embedded in a tourist office website?
Yes, that is the most common use. Each tour comes with a shareable link and an integration sheet for your webmaster; it slots into a page, a hiking sheet or an article, and works on desktop, tablet, smartphone and VR headset.
Is authorisation needed to photograph a protected site?
Often, yes — a national park, a nature reserve, a listed site or a drone flight each have their own rules. We settle this at scouting with the site manager: it is also what guarantees a capture that respects the environment, with no trampling and no disturbance to wildlife.
