Petite Galerie du Louvre The Louvre’s art education gallery, in the Richelieu wing
Call us+33 (0)9 54 44 33 45At the heart of the Louvre, the Petite Galerie is the space devoted to art and cultural education: each season a themed exhibition invites young and old to discover the collections differently, along a path designed as a real initiation into looking at art.
On this page, HD Media invites you to discover the Petite Galerie differently, through a complete presentation, photos and an immersive 360° virtual tour. Two journeys await you: the gallery itself and its themed exhibition "Venus from Elsewhere".
The Louvre's gallery for an introduction to art
Conceived as a place to learn how to look, the Petite Galerie brings paintings, sculptures and objects into dialogue around a theme renewed every season. An accessible journey, ideal for a first encounter with the Louvre's collections, for families and school groups alike.
Discover Petite Galerie du Louvre on a virtual tour
The tour walks through the “Figure d’artiste” exhibition (2019–2021) from the hall to the last rooms: Signatures, Self-portraits, Artists’ lives, The Academy and The Salon.
Now that the exhibition has closed, the 360° tour keeps a record of it: teachers and educators can return to it in class to trace, room by room, how the figure of the artist emerged.
Exhibition "Venus from Elsewhere"
The second journey immerses you in the "Venus from Elsewhere" exhibition: figures of beauty and power from other cultures, shown in the Petite Galerie.
A venue to discover in pictures
The professional photos produced for Petite Galerie du Louvre highlight the details, the spaces and the visual identity of the venue. They complement the virtual tour with strong views, useful for the website, social media, the Google listing and marketing material.

An HD Media production
HD Media produced the 360° virtual tour of the Louvre’s Petite Galerie and its “Figure d’artiste” exhibition, with some fifteen viewpoints across every section. HDR prints taken from the tour illustrate this page.
A temporary exhibition vanishes when it is taken down: capturing it in 360° turns it into a lasting resource that schools, researchers and the public can consult long after it closes.
Do you organise temporary exhibitions?
A 360° virtual tour preserves each hang after it is taken down and makes it accessible to distant audiences. Contact HD Media to capture your next exhibition.
